​From 1988 - 1992 I worked in the USA for the travel organization "Suntrek" as a USA trek leader. I have independently led 3-10 week treks in the USA. My duties included guiding and looking after small international groups, as well as providing historical and cultural information about the areas visited. Other duties were driving and maintaining the bus, as well as organizing and supervising the camp and attractions. During this time I have visited every state and national park in the USA. However, special interest was always given to the western United States (California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah). So I know this country very well. But even after my active tour guide time, I visited the USA every year to visit my favorite places.
